Anita Bloom Ornoff contest

Mr. Hal Ornoff and Mr. Jeremy Kay are sponsoring a short article contest based on the book Beyond Dancing, by Anita Bloom-Ornoff. The book is an inspiring memoir of Anita Bloom Ornoff's life.

A movie script is being written, based on Anita's compelling story.

A few details are in order.

Anita became a paralyzed veteran in 1942. Before her injury she was an accomplished jitterbug dancer.
It is believed that she was the first woman in America to become licensed to drive an automobile with hand controls.

The contest rules:

1. Write a short article titled "Why I think Anita Boom Ornoff's memoir Beyond Dancing will make a good movie."

2. The length must be 250-500 words. Include your name, e-mail address, and word count at the top left corner of your entry.

3. The entries are to be sent to Mr. Jeremy Kay at ornoff@bartlebythepublisher.com, and cc a copy to amblingalong@yahoo.com

4. On the subject line of your e-mailed entry list "Ornoff contest entry."

5. Jeremy Kay at Bartleby will be the sole judge and pick the winner. The prize is $100 to be awarded at the conclusion of judging.

6. The contest begins Thursday,15 January, 2009 and runs until midnight February 28, 2009, Eastern Time Zone.
